Parish Council

We are the first tier of government. The next tier being Shropshire Council.

Parish Councils were formed by an Act of Parliament in 1894 and they are specifically to look after the interests of those who live within the parish.

Parish Councillors are not paid. We have limited powers but a reasonable amount of influence. Shropshire Council will consult the Parish Council and take heed of their views. We are here to represent the residents of the Parish of Culmington in matters of local government.

Contact the Parish Council: Heather Coonick (Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer), Hopton Gate Cottage, Haytons Bent, Ludlow. SY8 2BE [email protected] 07817607355
