Culmington, a south Shropshire village, is situated about 5 miles north of Ludlow and 25 miles south of Shrewsbury. It lies on the border of a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is small, but as a parish, the boundaries embrace the hamlets of Vernolds Common, Seifton and the land below the brook that crosses the lane leading up to Westhope.
