Along with all other parishes in Shropshire, Culmington Parish Council will be seeking the election of councillors to represent Culmington.  The Parish Council has a total of nine councillors and all existing councillors have to retire and stand for re-election if they wish to continue serving on the Parish Council.  If you live or work in one of the parish and would like to represent your community, then please consider standing as a parish councillor.  Details of the eligibility criteria and the application packs can be obtained from the Electoral Services Department at Shropshire Council - Tel. 0345 6789015, or by email from: .  The packs are available from the 13th of March 2017 onwards.


You will need written support from two parishioners, one to propose your nomination and one to second it: they must live in the parish and be on the Electrol Roll.  You must state their full name, address and Electoral Roll registration number on your nomination form. You can obtain these registration numbers from the Culmington Parish Council's Clerk - details below.


You will need to submit your nomination papers by hand to one of the places detailed in the attached PDF belowIt is advisable to submit your nomination papers ahead of that deadline in case they contain any errors, as errors cannot be rectified after the 4th April deadline and the application will be invalid. The nomination papers cannot be posted or emailed, only hand delivered.  Nomination papers cannot be withdrawn after 4pm on the 4th April 2017.  The elections will take place on 4th May 2017.
